3 lbs potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
3 cans (10½ oz each) brown gravy
4 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

1. Prep the potatoes
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Peel and slice potatoes into thin, even rounds (about 1/8-inch thick).
2. Smooth the gravy
Pour gravy into a bowl and whisk until smooth for even layering.
3. Layer the dish
Create three layers:
First layer: potatoes, gravy, butter
Repeat for the second layer
Finish with remaining potatoes, gravy, and butter on top
4. Bake covered

Remove foil and bake another 20–25 minutes until the top is lightly browned and the sauce thickens.
